A timber frame metal roof &
pergola were added to an
existing 2nd story
deck, with new railings and low
voltage lighting over a great
landscaped area.

After remodeling the main part
of the house and an addition, a
screened porch and deck were
added to finish the job. The
screened porch has a beadboard
ceiling and ceramic tile floor.
The layout flows seamlessly into
the surrounding landscape.

This job included three decks,
all constructed of Siberian
Larch. Features include hidden
fasteners, low voltage lighting,
built in benches, and a mix of
metal balusters and stainless
steel cable railings. We also
expanded the existing stone
walks to blend with the new
decking, and built planter boxes
to enhance the feel of the
decks.

This was a re-make of an
existing deck. After stripping
& repairing the existing
framing, we applied new Cumaru (brazilian
cherry) decking, rails, and
stairs. An under-deck drainage
system was also installed, to
dry-in the underside of the deck
for storage. This is a
magnificent deck!

After installing a new pool,
Brown Dog rebuilt the existing
screen porch and deck, then put
a new deck & curved stairs to
access the pool. The pool
filter/pump was enclosed in a
sound-proof structure, and a
dressing area was created. We
took ordinary and made it
exceptional!

A cumaru (brazilian cherry) deck
with custom lighting and black
metal balusters/post caps and
serpentine stairway enhanced the
back of this wonderful Lookout
Mt home. A rain drainage system
was installed to dry in the area
under the deck for a future
screen porch.

A 900 square foot garage
building was constructed to
match the Client’s log home.
All log siding was pre-finished
to ensure longevity.
 |
We expanded the living space by
adding a screened porch off the
back of the kitchen. Ceramic
tile floor, and a beadboard
ceiling with ceiling fans make
this a great addition to this
Client’s home.
 |
This deck was a combination of
refinishing an existing deck,
and adding to improve it. New
railings, low voltage lighting,
and paver patios to transition
to the surrounding landscape
make this a great getaway.
 |
The former Stone Cup wanted to
become the Tin Roof, and we
obliged by designing and
building a timber frame tin roof
structure (easily viewed from
the Walnut Street Bridge – north
side) over the rear deck. This
structure is unique in the North
Chattanooga “skyline”, and
consistent with the steel
bridges that surround it.
 |
Using a combination of decking,
planter boxes, and brick pavers,
this private getaway was created
aside the Clients home. Custom
designed to fit their needs!

After adding a 2 story addition
to this home, Brown Dog expanded
their space by adding the
screened porch and deck. The
screened porch includes a stone
tile floor, and vaulted
beadboard ceiling with sunburst
frame. The multi-level deck
includes a pergola and octagonal
seating area. Also note the
square lattice enclosure below
the deck.
